The August edition of Karting Magazine includes a full page feature of current 210 champion Charles Morris. Based around his 28 years in 210 racing, it is an informative article, and is also a good advertisement for 210 racing in general. Make sure you get your copy!!
Steve Plain competed in his first meeting of 2009 in 210's at Shenington, and showed he had lost none of his competitve edge in winning the coveted "O" Plate. A fabulous 2 day meeting saw a big turnout of gearbox karts, and some highly competitive racing in the 210's.

FANTASTIC ENTERTAINING RACING AT RISSINGTON
As previously suspected, 2009 is lining up to be a cracking year for the 210 Challenge Short Circuit championship, with so many drivers "upping their game" and we now have a gaggle of drivers who are all on equal or near equal performance levels. This proved to be the case at the opening round at Little Rissington, where we were treated to some fabulous close racing, and praise must go to all the drivers for clean and fair competition all through the day. Following on from last years sucess, Charles Morris came out on top and won the meeting, but even he himself had to admit that the rest of the field had improved their game, and had to fight hard for the win.

10,000 visitors to our site in 12 months!!!
Unbeleivable! The 210 Challenge website has been viewed a massive 10,000 times in the last 12 months. Proof that despite all the doom and gloom of the current economic climate, we still generate a massive amount of interest in the motor sport fraternity. Here's looking forward to an entertaining 2009 season. Good luck to all our drivers.
MORRIS STARTS WHERE HE LEFT OFF
Charles Morris made his intentions for 2009 quite clear recently, when he overcame the opposition at the 1st round of the Rissington Championships. Even though this is seen by many as just the "warm up" meeting for the season, Morris won 2 out of the 3 heats and the final in resounding fashion. Graham Payne and Paul Fowler were also both on fine form.
Word has it that 2009 is lining up to be a real cracker, with several drivers all of near or equal performance and ability who will be squabbling over points.
TELFORD SHOW A HUGE SUCCESS
The recent "Off - Road and Road Race" motorcyle exhibition at Telford was a great success for the 210 Challenge. Over the course of the 2 days, 210 members Kate Bateman, John Morrish, Mike Coombs, Adrian Watkins, Charles Morris, Robert Hopkin, Neil & Chris Callaghan and Martin Jones were all on hand to help interested visitors gain an insight into what the 210 Challenge is all about.
With the help of Robert Hopkins newly aquired racer on display, visitors were also able to watch 210 racing at its best on TV. There were several interested visitors, and a handful of VERY interested visitors - indeed there were people travelling great distances with the sole intention of coming to see our display. Visitors were made fully aware of the Special Offers that the 210 Challenge is offering newcomers to the class for the 2009 season (see homepage for details).
Also, rumour on the grapevine is that one particular visitor to the show is already making arrangements to go and see karting equipment that one of our members has for sale. All in all a great show and Im sure that we will be reaping the benefits of everybodys efforts.

The 210 Challenge presentation night for 2008 was once again held at the Stone Manor Hotel in Kidderminster, and with previous years in mind, it had to go some to live up to expectation. But live up to expectation it certainly did with the theme for this year being "210's Got Talent!!" The Challenge co-ordinator (Kate Bateman) yet again managed to make it a night to remember, and empathized perfectly with what a good presentation night should be.
Highlights of the night were the "YMCA" dance routine performed by the "Villiers People", and Tony Vacca's ability to make a fancy dress costume out of whatever he can lay his hands on. Thanks must go to all the sponsors of this years challenge - the prizes that were awarded were both plentiful and of the highest quality, making the 210 Challenge a really worthwhile class to enter.
The long circuit champions award was won by Don Thompson, whilst in the short circuit category Charles Morris had a clean sweep winning the championship, "O" Plate, Midland Championship and Lionel Sifleet award.
The drivers and friends of the challenge would like to pass on their thanks to Kate Bateman for all her efforts during this year - once again doing a fabulous job in organising just about everything.
