1. SPORTING REGULATIONS – GENERAL
1.1 Title and Jurisdiction:
The 210 Short Circuit Challenge is organised by the ABkC and administered by the 210 Challenge in accordance with the General Regulations of the Royal Automobile Club Motor Sports Association (MSA) (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and the MSA specific regulations for karting, where applicable, the ABkC regulations within the 2009 MSA Kart Race Yearbook and these Championship Regulations.

1.3 Competitor Eligibility:
1.3.1 Entrants must be fully paid up valid membership card holding members of a Kart Club affiliated to the ABkC, 210 Challenge and in possession of a valid 2009 MSA Entrants Licence.
1.3.2 Drivers and Entrant/Drivers must be fully paid up valid membership card holding members of a Kart Club affiliated to the ABkC, be registered for the Championship and be in possession of a valid MSA Competition (racing) Kart National ‘B’ (Novice) Status Licence (min.).
Non registered drivers to the Championship are welcome to compete but not for points and will be required to pay a guest fee of £10 per round.
1.3.3 All necessary documentation must be presented for checking at all rounds when signing-on.
1.4 Registration:
1.4.1 All drivers must register as competitors for the Championship by returning the completed Registration Form with the Registration Fee to the Co-ordinator.
1.4.2 The Registration Fee is £60.00 – Cheques to be made payable to the ‘210 Challenge’.
1.4.3 Registration will be open to and including round 7 of the Championship.
1.5 Championship Rounds:

The 210 ‘O’ Plate will be held in conjunction with round 4 at Shenington, the winner of that round will be entitled to display the ‘O’ number at all ABkC clubs for a period of 12 months, or until the 2010 ‘O’ Plate event.
In the event of a round being cancelled the organisers will endeavour to secure an alternative and will reserve the right to change the venue of any round. Reference A.29 (C)

1.6 Scoring:
1.6.1 Points will be awarded to Competitors listed as classified finishers, and having crossed the finish line with the driver seated correctly in his Kart and the engine providing the motive power, in the heats and final results as follows:-
Heats – 1st 20 points, 2nd 19 points, 3rd 18 points continuing to descend in 1 point increments.
Every finisher will receive 1 point.
Final – 1st 32 points, 2nd 30 points, 3rd 28 points, 4th 27 points continuing to descend in 1 point increments.
Guest drivers will be ‘invisible’ in the results for the purpose of issuing points but will still be eligible for individual round trophies.
Points from the heats and the Final will be added together to form a total for that round.
In addition 20 points will be awarded for attendance at each round. In order to qualify for attendance points a driver must have signed on and completed scrutineering.
The totals from the best 6 qualifying rounds will determine final Championship points and positions, with attendance points counting at all 7 rounds.
In the event of a round being cancelled and an alternative is unable to be secured then the total number of qualifying rounds to count will be reduced accordingly and the scores from the best total rounds run less one round will be counted.
1.6.2 Ties shall be resolved using formula in Section G.11 of the 2009 MSA Competitors’ Yearbook.
1.6.3 Championship Points Appeal shall be as per C (d) 65 of the 2009 MSA Competitors Yearbook
1.7 Awards
1.7.1 The 210 Challenge will award seeded numbers 1 – 9 to drivers finishing in those positions in the Championship. Drivers must have entered at least 50% of the rounds to qualify for a seeded number. These may be used from the time the Championship results are declared final, and until the last round of the 2010 series, or the end of 2010 whichever is sooner.
All other awards to be provided by the (see 1.7.2)
1.7.2 Trophies are awarded:-
Per Round: The Organising Club.
Championship: The 210 Challenge at the end of year Presentation Evening will present trophies
1st – 10th place. A Trophy will be awarded to the highest placed novice.
It is mandatory that all perpetual trophies will be returned when requested and in good condition.
1.7.3 Bonuses:
Per Round: None Championship: Dependant upon sponsorship received.
2. SPORTING REGULATIONS – JUDICIAL PROCEDURES
2.1 Rounds: In accordance with Section C (d) of the 2009 MSA Yearbook and Section K. Regulation C
(d) 39 (C) does not apply.
Exclusion from the meeting will be the minimum action resulting from infringement of technical regulations arising from post race scrutineering or Judicial Action, except that this will not be applied in the case of drivers/karts being underweight, or in the case of a technical infringement due to an incident during the race, such as an Air Box falling off etc. The penalty for these types of infringements, which will be at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course, shall be exclusion from the race and C (d) 39 (a) and (b) do not apply.
2.2 Championship: In accordance with Section C (d) of the 2009 MSA Yearbook and Section K. Regulation C
(d) 39 (C) does not apply.

3. TECHNICAL REGULATIONS
3.1 The 210 Short Circuit Challenge Championship is for Competitors participating in Karts conforming to the 2009
3.2 The 210 Short Circuit Challenge is a one class Championship for the Formula 210 National Class.
3.3 Safety Requirements:
All MSA Section C (c) Safety Criteria Regulations apply as relevant.
3.4 A front fairing is not mandatory in either long or short circuit trim.

1st – 30, 2nd – 25, 3rd – 22, 4th – 20, 5th – 18, 6th – 16, 7th – 14, 8th – 12, 9th – 10,
10th – 8, 11th – 6, 12th – 5, 13th – 4, 14th – 3, 15th – 2 and 1 point to all finishers thereafter.
